Hi all,  Smiley
I thought it might be nice to talk about books we read or want to read.

What is your favorite horse related book and why? I'm really curious!  Tongue

Did anyone read "Gallop to Freedom" by Frederic Pignon & Magali Delgado?
I consider to buy it but my wish-list is long so I thought I ask if it is worth to get.  Wink

Jan 2012: Bought it by now and can't be bothered to read it - some of the pictures were such a turn off!

OK, I should wait until I read it....but I am so excited!!!!! Grin  Wink

I just ordered the following nutrition book:

"Feed Your Horse Like A Horse" by Juliet M. Getty

I can't wait to get my hands on it since a very knowledgable friend recommended it and 12 out of 12 reviewers on amazon.com gave 5 stars and brilliant comments!!

The bad news is it might take up to 4 weeks before they can send it....  Undecided *sigh*

Jan. 2012: BRILLIANT book!!!!!!!!!  I can highly recommend it! Apart from the nutrition for all it gives advice how to feed the young, the old, the sports-horse - extra advice for ponies and donkeys and lots and lots about different deceases. She has a cure for sweet itch as well which I will try this year! What I really like is that she does not just say feed this or that but she explains why. Love it!!!    KUDOS    Kiss

"Revealing Your Hidden Horse" by Mark Hanson

Very good book about natural horse keeping! Good insight into learning theory and a very interesting explanation where the different styles of horsemanship come from.

Even though it is sometimes a bit sloppy written - like the statement the horse has more than 360° of vision....   Huh  Shocked  Grin
it is still well worth reading.   Cheesy

Thumbs up for this book  Smiley
